Solvera Signs SAP Services Agreement with UFA
Date: Jan 9, 2012
Calgary office Managing Director Ray Hillman announced today that Solvera has officially signed a three-year agreement with UFA Co-operative Ltd. to co-source its SAP operations. Solvera has been given responsibility to manage 13 roles within the SAP support team, including the key Release Manager role.
“We’re very pleased,” Hillman reported. “This contract is the next big step in the growth of the Calgary office, which has already grown considerably in 2011. It represents the type of client and work that we envision will form the foundation of a solid operation in the years to come.” UFA Director of Application Management Howard Bakken highlighted the reasons for Solvera’s selection:
- “The Solvera organizational model fits well with how UFA wants to manage its co-sourcing
- Solvera has a good presence in Calgary and significant growth plans
- Solvera’s focus on practice leadership, training and development increases the competency of assigned resources more easily than the independent contractor model
- Solvera is committed to managing within current costs, with good potential for reductions
- Solvera’s willingness to be flexible gives us confidence we can work through any issue with the arrangement and with our current complement of contractors
- Solvera has a robust suite of other services that may be of value to us
- Solvera is ready, willing and able to work with us on our schedule”
Hillman reports that the transition is well underway and the key resources are already in place. “We need to deliver top-quality results in this engagement -- which we will -- and we are already in discussions about a number of other project resources and project management roles for 2012.
